Kevin was born in 1966 and lived in Rushden until his mid 20’s he attended Tennyson Road Infant School, Alfred Street Junior School and Rushden Boys School.
Having grown up in Rushden and still living nearby with his young family, he still retains many close ties with family and friends in the Rushden and Higham Ferrers area.
Throughout his working life in estate agency he has always based his business principles on an honest and very much upfront attitude.

Kevin carries out the majority of the valuing for the office and offers advice if required on house doctoring, refurbishment/development, planning and much more. So having Coley Thomson around to value your home can be so much more than a quick chat and a price. Kevin’s estate agency career began when his brother-in-law encouraged him to pursue a career in estate agency. He attended an interview with Mason’s Estate Agency who offered him a job there and then and it is from here where it all started for him.
The quality of Mason’s staff in the late 80’s/early 90’s were widely recognised today as being the best of its generation having spawned many of the leading Estate Agents in the area including Kevin’s other business partner Martin Hawskby in Wellingborough.
Kevin stayed with Masons for 4 years and then moved on to Alliance and Leicester, Halifax and the Woolwich all for short periods but was frustrated by their corporate short comings and sort out his old manager from Masons who was then managing William H Brown in Kettering, he was keen to reemploy Kevin and so in 1993 Kevin started at William H Brown Kettering and within 12 months was running the office and stayed with William H Brown for 4 years having been consistently the top selling agent in Kettering during the mid 90’s.
In 1997 Kevin co founded Simpson and Partners with Andrew Simpson and helped successfully establish that firm as the leading agent in Kettering at the time, he then moved on to Thrapston and opened Simpson and Partners there and it was then in 1999 that David Thomson contacted him to start the Coley Thomson Estate Agency.
David Thomson’s history in Financial Services
David Thomson was born in 1969 and has been in the financial services industry for over 18 years and is widely recognised as the leading adviser in the area and has previously been the number 1 adviser nationally for 2 of the largest national Estate Agency chains.
David’s career started in 1990 with Connell’s Estate Agents in Wellingborough, he quickly became the number 1 adviser for that company in the United Kingdom.
He moved onto William H Brown in Northampton in 1994 and soon became the leading adviser for them also nationally, David stayed with William H Brown until 1999 and many of his land mark achievements and records are still intact which shows the level of success he enjoyed while there.
David worked with Kevin at Coley Thomson for 2 years helping us become the leading agent in the area and then moved over to our Wellingborough office and helped with the setting up of Martin Hawksby, then after a further year he opened “Best Deal Insurance” which is now a hugely successful internet based insurance company.
David also set up “Thomson Financial Services” which services our Estate Agency mortgage requirements.
David still retains a keen interest in the day-to-day running of the Coley Thomson and regularly helps to plan new strategies and ways of working.
